The Weller WT1010HN is a 150 watt soldering station with digital controls and a WP120 soldering iron. The WT1010HN is also compatible with a variety of other handpieces and peripheral devices. The Weller WT1HN contains an LCD screen on its front panel, which provides a detailed overview of all station functions. Background illumination is adjustable, and a power bar graph shows output from the station to the iron tip. Menus are easily navigated through four buttons, providing access to temperature control, password protection and much more. I received this over 3 weeks ago now and love the range of soldering I can do now. MY old Weller WES51 is still operating even after 20 plus years so hope for more from this unit. I have used it on all types of electronics now from surface mount to through home and it preforms wonderful The range of heat with the 120 iron, the amount of tips you can get one me over on spending the extra on this station. I need to get a desoldering station and a hot air/rework station now and I'll be happy. never have enough toys.....er tools. Thanks Weller for another great soldering station, keep up the good work.

Weller WT1010 HN station
I purchased this station to replace my WES51 I have had for over 20 years with no problems. However, I needed something with a lot more heat so got this station and I am very happy with it. It heats so much faster than the 51 did, and it maintains it's heat a lot longer. Also it seems to be more stable that the 51 is. The shipping was fast! Sheesh I was surprised to see it get here in less than a week. Happy it was as I had a project sitting on the bench waiting for it. Fast Shipping Faster heating More stable All in all a better choice but much more expensive.

I ordered this Weller station based on the fact Weller has been around forever, has pretty decent quality and I was looking for a nice balanced solder pen with a 150W station. This pen is really nice and compact and let's you grip it close to the business end for great control. I also like the way the tips changeout pretty easy. The tips also seem to have a decent assortment available at maybe a better price then some of the other systems I compared. The only improvement I would suggest to Weller is the solder pen connector to the power supply is sorta' cheap and cantilevers out too far...a unit at this price should have this knocked by now.
