It serves its Purpose!

I am pleased overall but I wish I could use it with larger PCBs. Also, I wish the cushioned arm was spring-loaded. Finally, I wish I could use it with hot air. So now all the things I like about it:
It's got a nice weight to it.
The ability to rotate the PCB is my favorite feature.
Rubber feet keep it in place.
The cushioned arm is handy {but could be bigger}.
Great for the DIYers and Pros alike.

Handy dandy

I was pleasantly surprised when I began to use this PCB holder.
It doesn't move around on my anti-static mat, it has a good weight and rubber feet that keep it in place on my work surface.
The feature I like most is the ability to 'flip' the board over with little effort. The latching mechanism has a small amount of 'play', but it generally remains in place when I perform my PCB rework. I've managed to easily work on 2-sided PCB's measuring 4" x 6"
The cushioned arm is also extremely handy, it works really well.

A good quality product.

Unlike the fellow who said he was tired of "chasing boards around the bench" in three reviews (must have thought he'd win something) I'll just say that this is a nice design and well executed. The quality and utility is well beyond the Chinese products.
I need to mark it down one notch because there was one hex nut missing from the hardware pack (in a zipper bag). It fortunately needed only a standard Metric nut which I bought locally. This German-made unit is expensive though so should have been complete.
Without reflecting on the product I do need to report that TEquipment's packing was entirely inadequate. The holder's tie rods are steel and thus rather heavy. Weller's product box isn't strong but should be adequate for disassembly and storage of the unit and also has a diagram and printed information. TEquipment shipped this in a box that was too large and with almost no cushioning, such that what I received was the parts of the unit mingled with the torn remains of Weller's box.

Don't know how I got along without this. Way better than chasing boards around the bench.
Do yourself a favour and get one.

You should have one.

I can't imagine doing without this. After chasing boards around the bench for far to long I decided to spoil myself.
I am going to get some longer rods because I work on some larger boards.
Its a little finicky to get the board in when you first get it but one gets better at it over time.
For us hobbyists, it's a tad on the pricey side with the shipping, but still well worth it.
Do yourself a favour and get one, you won't regret it.

I am not sure how I worked with out this PCB stand. I finally got tired of chasing boards around the bench and did some research that lead me to the Weller board stand. It is a god send for a hobbyist like myself and that little part holder is a brilliant idea..
The only complaint I would have is that it's a little clumsy to get the board in to start with but I would say that it gets easier with time. All things have their foibles. The other thing is it being a little on the pricey side once you include shipping and all.
I am going to get a couple of longer rods so I can accommodate bigger boards. I am sure I will find some at the local hardware store.
All in all I say "Do yourself a favour and pick one up, you won't regret it.
