The UDP6900 is a series of bench top programmable DC power supplies that is available in a variety of voltage and current output configurations. Wide operating ranges mean that a single power supply can meet the needs of several testing scenarios. RS232, RS485, and USB interfaces allow for remote control from PC software using the SCPI (standard commands for programmable instruments) protocol; these features can be used to set up an intelligent test platform. List and delayer functions are used to set up testing programs specifying current and voltage parameters, their duration, and a power-down command.

The UNI-T UDP6900-series DC power supplies are available in versions with differing peak output parameters. Please see the table below for a comparison.

Voltage drops can occur when long wires connect the power supply to the load. Remote sense allows measurements to be made on the terminals of the device under test. Connect the S+ and S- (sense terminals) to the device under test and the power supply as shown in the image. The remote sense feature will detect voltage at the device and compensate for any drop.

The UDP6900 series power supplies have a built-in 4 1/2-digit voltmeter function which can measure DC voltages from 0.001V to 65.000V (160.0V on the UDP6933B and UDP6935B). The voltage terminal inputs are located on the rear of the instrument.

Note: Only DC voltage can be measured.

The UDP6900 series power supplies offer three slope modes:

Normal Mode: The voltage and current output values correspond to the set value, and the slope parameter cannot be set.

VSR (Voltage Slope) Mode: The initial current is the set value, and the voltage changes to the set voltage according to the set step. The voltage rise and voltage fall slopes can be set.

ISR (Current Slope) Mode: The initial current is the set value, and the current changes to the set current according to the set step. The current rise and current fall slopes can be set.

Built-in communication based on the RS485 standard enables connection of multiple power supplies. The communication protocol can be set to SCPI, Multi-SCPI, or Modbus. The primary power supply will be connected to a PC for remote control as shown.
