Powers IP camera just like it says but video does not work you can get a still photo but I purchased this to focus IP Cameras, Does everything else it says it will just cannot use it to focus. Sorry that was the main reason for the purchase.

IP and Analog PTZ Camera Setup Essentails

The Triplet 8071 is one of those tools that you absolutely with cherish. The Unit that I was using was V0162 ONVIF 2.4.1.
Out of the box the unit feels robust and capable of handling the day to day working requirements. The fact that the unit is a DHCP Server capable of configuring IP Cameras without hooking up to your home network is a huge plus. I was able to configure my 4 HIKVISION IP Cameras on the fly without using my laptop was fantastic. The only thing missing was the Zoom and Focus capabilities were missing on the IP Camera control items. This would have facilitated a more efficient install. I could not focus and Zoom the camera. I could only view the image on the display. The QWERTY Keyboard is a nice touch but needs the navigation buttons otherwise you have to flip the front control back down to navigate up, down, left and right. Battery life is pretty good as I played with it before use after the initial charge and the unit held the charge even as the POE supply to the Cameras.
After running the Cat 6 cables I wanted to ensure that there were no issues before connecting the IP Camera to the line. The TDR function was excellent at validating the cable length and open/short verification of line pairs. It does remember your recent IP settings but there should be a save utility that allows you to save and recall them when necessary. I did contact TRIPLETT and informed them of the IP Camera zoom and focus issue and they noted that. perhaps an update will be released that will support the Zoom and Focus capability to give the installed complete control of IP Cameras with motorized Varifocal lens. I did not have an opportunity to review the units Analog Camera features. I hope this review will be helpful.
