TSA4G1 is a very tiny instrument, but it can cover a very wide measurement range. The frequency up to 4.15 GHz, power up to 1 W, noise level as low as -110 dBm. TSA4G1 is a very cost-effective USB mini spectrum analyzer. It can do most of all basic test items that a general spectrum analyzer can do. TSA4G1 is a very tiny instrument, but it can cover a very wide measurement range. The frequency up to 4.15 GHz, power up to 1 W, noise level as low as -110 dBm. The test data will be displayed with calibrated level, linearity, and frequency. TSA4G1 is very suitable for a field test because it is very small and convenient to carry. It can be used as a device to monitor RF signal. It is also suitable for EMC test with near field probe. Remote feature allows the product to be controlled remotely from far end computer via the internet. This allows easy setup of RF monitor system.

TSA4G1

I needed a Spectrum Analyzer to find the source of radiation on a processor board I was designing for a client. I did not want to invest in a full featured analyzer that I would use only occasionally and I did not want another piece of equipment on my work bench. This device fit the requirements nicely. I was able to quickly isolate the offending part and make the necessary design changes to eliminate the problem. I am also panning to take this device to a product interoperability event in a few weeks and am very happy the I can put it in my backpack with my ThinkPad (which it works nicely with) and be able to offer some screening tests without having to lug around a larger, heavier piece of equipment. Although not a full featured analyzer, it has the features needed most of the time. My only gripe would be that there are some limitations when choosing various span and frequency points and you sometimes need to break your measurements up into multiple settings. But at this price point one can't complain.
