This ESD coat is an effective static shield. The lightweight fabric makes this one of our most popular garments, and the raglan-style sleeve (like a baseball jersey) is tailored for easier overhead reaching. The surface resistivity of the fabric is 1X105 and the sleeve‐to‐sleeve resistance of the garment is guaranteed to stay below 3.5X107 for 100 washes or 2 years.

This Sterling‐style knee‐length coat comes with raglan‐style sleeves, a lapel collar, and the standard 3‐pocket configuration. The “Reaching Hand Symbol” next to the breast pocket indicates this garment is a tool for the prevention of static discharge. The ESD grid-knit cuffs form a contact patch around both of the wearer’s wrists. The garment and wearer are then both grounded by attaching a ground cord to the 4mm stainless steel snaps on either hip pocket. (Ground cord sold separately)

All Tech Wear garments made of OFX-100 fabric with our ESD knit cuffs or the “Key option” used as recommended, will meet the requirements of the National ESD Association’s ANSI/ESD STM 2.1-2013, Category 3, “Garment used as primary grounding path for personnel” and/or “Grounded through a single wire constant monitor system”, and will maintain these performance characteristics for a minimum of 100 washes or 2 years, whichever comes first.

Wash in cool or cold water with any commercially-available liquid detergent, and hang dry or dry at 120°F or less. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or iron. The carbon-suffused monofilament nylon is sensitive to heat and should not be exposed to drying heat in excess of 120oF. Wash at 90oF (Maximum) and tumble dry at low heat or hang dry. This lightweight fabric will dry very quickly and we recommend hang-drying for maximum life.
