Tech Wear Hallmark HOJ-23KEY Hip-Length Jacket (Blue)

This ESD jacket is designed for comfort with a contoured open neckline, roomy raglan sleeves, and a snap front. The KEY option adds a female snap facing inward on each sleeve hem for connecting a standard wrist strap. Male ground snaps are located on the corner of both hip pockets for connection to a standard ground cord allowing hands-free movement without tethering one hand, which is required when using a wrist strap connected directly to a ground cord. The surface resistivity of the fabric is 1X10E5 and the sleeve-to-sleeve resistance of the garment is guaranteed to stay below 3.5X10E7 for 100 washes or 2 years.

This Hallmark-style jacket comes with the KEY option - 4mm male ground snaps on the hip pockets and 4mm female snaps on hem sleeves for connection with a standard wrist strap. This connection is also used for testing and/or monitoring that the garment and the wearer are grounded. The “Reaching Hand Symbol” next to the breast pocket indicates that this garment is a tool for the prevention of static discharge. Tech Wear does not recommend that this garment be used in situations where the exposure is greater than 250 volts.

Static Control Performance

All Tech Wear garments made of OFX-100 fabric with our ESD knit cuffs or the “Key option” used as recommended, will meet the requirements of the National ESD Association’s ANSI/ESD STM 2.1-2013, Category 3, “Garment used as primary grounding path for personnel” and/or “Grounded through a single wire constant monitor system”, and will maintain these performance characteristics for a minimum of 100 washes or 2 years, whichever comes first.

Laundering Instructions

Wash in cool or cold water with any commercially-available liquid detergent, hang dry or dry at 120°F or less. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or iron. The carbon-suffused monofilament nylon is sensitive to heat and should not be exposed to drying heat in excess of 120°F. Wash at 90°F (Maximum) and tumble dry at low heat or hang dry. This lightweight fabric will dry very quickly and we recommend hang-drying for maximum life.
