The Logging Option [LOG] allows PowerSight to log data and store the log internally for later retrieval. Features of this option include:
-
Ability to set the logging interval from once a second to once each 99 minutes.
-
Ability to select any of 60 variables to include in the log.
-
Ability to pause and resume logging so multiple setups/logs can be stored in the unit.
Combined with the PC Control/Analysis Option [PCCA], it gives PowerSight the ability to retrieve the log and graph it or import it into Excel.
The Importance of Logging
Simple monitoring of a circuit will tell what the average, maximum, and minimum values are, but will tell nothing about how they change over time. When you log, you record the average, maximum, and minimum values at regular intervals. This allows you to:
-
Graph averages over time
-
Identify when maximums and minimums occurred
-
View how often and when extreme readings occurred.
In addition, graphical printouts of logs have much more impact in reports than simply reporting three summary measurements. This option requires both thePSM Software and PCCA option.
All PowerSight models now come standard with the LOG option. It is also available as a retrofit on any PowerSight® unit that is covered under warranty. Call or email for pricing.
