Wonderful, classic, very sturdy case for Simpson 260 VOM. The instrument mounts inside this case and the roll top cover provides instant access and there is storage area for test probes. Bakelite type material, robust and good looking. More convenient than taking instrument in and out of separate case, and better protection. Great price from Tequipment and great customer service.

260 series rolltop case

Have one of these on my earlier version 260, and on my more recent 7 series. Recently took the cases off to touch up the calibration on the VOM. Have had one of them for 40 years! Still looks like new—the Bakelite case is still glossy (after a damp rag wipe), no dings, no cuts on case, meter face or knobs. Also nicely protects the leads from getting tugged, nicked or otherwise damaged. Installation simple and straightforward. Never have had a problem with the rollup tambour style cover. Both the 260 and the rolltop cases are classics that remain very useful today.
