SIGLENT'S SSG3000X series of signal generators have a frequency range of 9 kHz to 2.1 GHz/3.2 GHz. They provide normal analog modulation including AM, FM, and PM, as well as pulse modulation and a pulse train generator (option). When used with a baseband generator such as the SDG6000X, certain models can generate IQ modulated signals. With their high accuracy and pure outputs, the SSG3000X series is the right choice for R&D, education, and manufacturing.

The external modulation function of the SSG3000X and the SDG6000X series arbitrary waveform generator can be used as the baseband source to generate an IQ modulated signal. Users can generate the IQ modulated signal, and can modify and configure IQ modulation related parameters according to actual application requirements. Please note, the SDG6000X is sold separately.
The image below shows the real panel of the SDS3000X series. Please note, IQ input and functionality is not available on all models.
The I input (number 12) is used to input an external modulated I baseband signal when the external IQ modulation mode is on. The Q input (number 13) is used to input an external modulated Q baseband signal when the external IQ modulation mode is on.
