These are great and durable handheld tachometers, but the only thing that breaks on them is these due to people being too aggressive when holding a wheel against something turning. We have several of the Shimpo DT-207LR-S12 and we've replaced about 3 of these in 9 yrs.

Common Replacement Part!
Contact adapter for DT-205LR/207LR/S12 laser tachometers is an acceptable part that needs to be replaced at times due to someone being dropped or too aggressive in a contact use of the unit or just because it is a well used tool. The tachometer always seems to keep ticking.
