I can't compare it to equivalent products, but we're very happy with it. We primarily use it to identify hot spots in electrical equipment, and it does that very well. The auto ranging is good, so it's always adapting to changes so that the stuff we need to see is visible. It easily picks up 2 degree F differences in wires. I'm finding all kinds of other uses for it, including locating the water level in a drain, can even see the warm water flowing in the pipe. Battery life is excellent, probably about 8 hours if I had to take a wild guess.

Excellent Product
I believe every HVACR contractor should have one of these. I just got back from a job where I needed to troubleshoot a radiant heat issue. In the past I used my IR gun but had to wait a long time to get results.The Seek Thermal Reveal allowed me to visually see radiant heat piping and show the customer something they could understand. The camera picked up the radiant heat with in 5 minutes of the zone being on.It has different filters but I used mostly "cool". On a side note, my kids think it's a "cool" tool. We went around the home spotting hot/cold objects and even discovered what the outside looks like in the IR light band. It's inexpensive enough to afford. There are of course products that are 10x what this costs but I am happy with the functionality this provides for plumbing/heating contractor.
