The basic system (C-05) or “master unit with console controller (HH) or WiFi adapter (WA)” is an outstandingly compact and easy-to-handle test set
The Raptor WA (WiFi Adapter) allows the remote control of the Raptor System. The control can be done through a computer using WINDOWS O.S. and the application Raptor Control. The Raptor WA must be installed on the Raptor MS unit and allows different communication possibilities either wired (Ethernet) or wireless (WiFi). All the communication between the computer and the Raptor WA are based on the TCP/IP protocol.
The application RaptorControl has the same functionalities and characteristics than the Raptor HH, but is conveniently adapted to a Windows-based computer.
The Raptor WA is NOT compatible with the Three-phase Raptor Systems.
System Control
The control of the Raptor System had been performed, until now, only through the Raptor Hand Held Terminal (Raptor HH) for single phase systems and the Raptor HHx3 for the three-phase systems (TriRaptor). Now, taking advantage on the last developments in connectivity and communication technologies, which are reliable and extremely fast, we developed the Communication and Control Adapter RAPTOR WA. The connection, immediate and configuration-less, is established between the PC and RAPTOR WA working either as Access Point mode, or with both devices connected to a network. To connect to a computer it may use RJ-45 cable connection or the wireless WiFi. This new adapter is fully compatible with any existent RAPTOR system and defines a new communication and control mode using TCP/IP network protocol.
To properly control the Raptor system using Raptor WA, a Windows-based application has been developed (with the same capabilities and functions than the Raptor HH console has).
The adapter Raptor WA is NOT compatible with the three-phase Raptor Systems.
The control of the Raptor system through the Raptor WA is performed from a computer with Windows operative system.
The connection, immediate and configuration less, is established between the PC and RAPTOR WA working either as Access Point mode, or with both devices connected to a network. To connect to a computer it may use RJ-45 cable connection or the wireless WiFi.
The use of an independent controller such as a computer allows the updates may be downloaded directly from the “cloud”, not depending on direct connections to other servers, so, the accessibility to the control from any kind of device, assuming that it is always using an Operative System WINDOWS, just by downloading and further installing the application contained in the file.
This section describes in step-by-step terms how to connect the Raptor WA to its controller (computer) on each of the communication modes available.
