The 226400/400 MPA has a maximum pressure of 400 Mpa (58 000 psi) and delivers a volume per stroke of 0.23 cm³ (0.014 in³ ). The oil injector has a most varied usage when applying the SKF oil injection method. Mounting and dismounting bearings, couplings and gearwheels are only a few examples. The injector is supplied complete with repair kit 728383. Everything is packed in a sturdy case.
Operating Instructions
a) When the oil container (8) is to be charged, the nozzle is immersed in oil and the piston retracted using the handle. The nozzle is then pointed upwards and the valve ball retaining the oil depressed slightly to permit any air to escape. The oil container can be refilled without releasing the hydraulic pressure. For mounting bearings with the SKF Oil Injection Method, or by means of a hydraulic nut, it is recommended to use an oil with a viscosity of approximately 300 mm² /s at the operating temperature. For dismounting bearings, we recommend using an oil with a viscosity of approx 900 mm² /s at operating temperature.
b) The injector has to be firmly screwed into the application
c) Open the release valve (6) and screw the full oil container in position. The oil container should be screwed lightly to the injector. Too much force may break the filter nipple.
d) Make a few strokes with the lever until clean oil, free of air bubbles, issues between the injector body and the forked lever. The release valve is then tightened.
e) Continue pumping until necessary pressure is reached for your application. Maximum pressure is 400 Mpa (58 000 psi).
f ) Open the release valve, allowing superfluous oil to escape freely. Unscrew the oil container a few turns. This will prevent oil to escape from the container.
