TEquipment got me the best valued entry level R&S oscilloscope you could get in the market today. Aside from R&S discount on its full package oscilloscope, T&E got me more than 10% off the discounted price. The RTC1K-COM2 is the best entry level scope I've ever owned. It's packed with all the upgrades such as protocol decoders 12c,spi,uart etc and it even include the 8 channel logic probes which cost a third of the price of the scope

handy compact scope

Enabled measuring intervals up to 10 seconds long, with precision of 0.1 msec. Digital channels helped in debugging an off-by-one error in code driving a shift register, in relation to analog triggered events. 10x probe presents a low enough load to avoid distorting assessment of how 2-3 meters of cable affects data pulses. Plenty fast for general interface assessment. Built-in web page handy for web conferencing. Feature set offered acceptable time savings for the price. Although would have appreciated the greater amplitude and temporal dynamic range of RTB20004, my task was accomplished for less than half the price of that instrument.
