Easy to use. Controls, menus, and touch screen options work seamlessly. Screen is bright with acceptable resolution. Manual is well written. I have read the users manual.. all 370 pages. Still waiting on the optional Logic Probe, Protocol decode SW option Bundle, and a front cover.

I like the scope, its usability and quality, but some of the features that are specified are paid upgrades and I would have purchased a cheaper model if I knew that. Fortunately, Rigol was running a promo that gave away all of features that I wanted for free. Make sure you check out Rigols website.

Haven't had the chance to utilize the equipment other than power on, test button operation. Did connect to an HDMI monitor. Didn't see anything in the specs about what the HD resolution actually was. It's not 1080p/i. A bit lower. On a 24" display, the image is a bit "cartoonish" in some way, not really sharp as I'd hoped. Never the less so far am happy with the scope. Service from tequipment is top notch and would highly recommend their services. They provided probes for each channel. I included the logic analyzer cable as well, looks nice and complet connectivity wise. Only left a 4 rating due to the HDMI output resolution.

Very impressed with the fast update rate and triggering capabilities! :-) Some of the thin line labels on the black face make the text hard to read if you use the scope in a low light locations. I use my scope for STEM science demonstrations in schools frequently and the HDMI port to connect to large external monitors will be VERY helpful. Just received my unlock codes for digital decode and AWG, so looking forward to trying out the frequency sweep/Bode plot functions!

This is an excellent scope! I had outgrown the Siglent two-channel scope that I had and needing a four-channel scope, I came upon TEquipment and this jewel. As I am very value conscious, I shopped allot before I purchased the Rigol MSO5104. The 100Mhz version that I chose as a good starting point, is fully upgradeable to as much as 350Mhz when needed along with additional select features that are upgradable as well. The measurement capabilities are beyond what I expected and a welcome addition to what I was accustomed to. The 9.1-inch, high resolution WVGA screen is amazing with the touch screen feature putting it over the top in my book. Also, the four-channel independent controls are an experimenter's dream for setting up the parameters for each channel separately. Perfect for anyone that has to make continuing adjustments on more than two-channels. This is a welcome addition to my test bench providing performance and value in a next level scope. I look forward to learning to use all of the included features that this Rigol MSO5104 scope from TEquipment has to offer.

A major value, high performance low cost

I bought this scope to replace a Tek scope that was no longer viable for my work. I looked at replacing the scope, but found I can get the same performance out of the Rigol with the addition of a logic analyzer. This resulted in a cost savings of over 3K, I have had the scope for 3 weeks and it has operated perfectly. I did a side by side with a calibrated scope for my contractor, and it gave the same measurements as the calibrated scope. I would recommend this scope to anyone who wants to get bang for the buck. I would have to say, since this is a Chinese owned company, I would discourage setting up the network capabilities. I have not found a use for them as far as the scopes operation. A great scope with great options, performs within specification. A great scope for lab work and for a consultant.

This is a good looking scope. I bought the 4ch 100Mhz. The screen is big and clear. I connected two 100Mhz sine waves to Ch1 and Ch2. I used the cursors to measure phase angle differences. I did some Channel A - B math. I lowered the sample rate and set the averaging button. The menu structure seems to make sense. Things are where I expect them to be. The screen is a touch screen. I thought I wouldn't use that much but within 20 minutes I was moving waveforms around, setting trigger level and moving measurement cursors by touching the screen. Touching the screen was more natural than I thought it would be. I always used the soft buttons around the screen and though I would never like using the screen to select items or adjust the waveform but I eventually came around. Rigol makes good stuff for the price which means it has good value. I gave 4 stars because there is always room for improvement. I'm happy with what I got and will probably buy Rigol again.
