The RPL1115 Work But Has Issues
3.0
I've been using the RPL1115 for a couple of years, now. It works fine, except if you need to use 8 inputs, either D0-D7, or D8-D15. If so, only 7 would work. You could use one on the other channel for the one that does not work. But, if you need all 16, you will get only 14 to work.

Rigol RPL1116

Product worked just fine. Does feel cheap vs the MSO 5000 series from Rigol. Do like the longer length.

Unlock the potential to do mixed signal analysis!
5.0
This nifty option puts the 1104Z Plus scope as the best little bargain in mixed signal analysis. Well within the range of even the tightest budgets, this little probe set unlocks the mysteries of the digital domain while still allowing you the 4 analog channels at the same time! Very hard to beat this combo for double the price!

Digital Nirvana
5.0
The RPL1116 digital logic probe allows you to capture 16 digital channels simultaneously with your analog channels on a Rigol MSO1000Z family of scopes. This is a great addition to my DS-1104Z-S Plus scope. You'll never truly understand serial digital interfaces unless you can literally see them in action. This probe takes such interfaces out of the realm of books and theory and places them firmly into the realm of visibility and reality.

An Excellent Scope For The Money
5.0
This is a remarkable oscilloscope, especially given it's price. 5 years ago, this would have been a $3K to $7K 'scope. If 100MHz bandwidth serves your needs, this is a good way to go.
The probes that come with the 'scope are nice, and use the thinner coax, which makes them easier to maneuver around on the PCB (I've used some after-market probes on my Tektronix 2445 that were 3/16" thick or so, and far less flexible than these are).
The 'scope is a nice weight, neither too heavy, nor so light that it's easily moved on the bench. The display is quite good, and very readable. The fan noise is fairly quiet, more so than on either of the (non-Rigol) bench supplies.
I have only minor complaints about the 'scope, primarily in regards to the user interface.
The first is that using the knob to select menu items sometimes results in the wrong item being selected. If the knob is closed to the transition point in moving to the next item, the slightest turn depressing the knob to make the selection causes it to jump to the item before or after the one that's wanted.
The other is that when adjusting the triggering level, the trace will track the knob on the screen, but it takes the marker a bit longer to catch up.
I'd like to see the control panel handling be a little more responsive, and perhaps implement something where instead of the controls being linear, they're more logarithmic. Quick control rotations would result in large changes, where slower movements would require turning the control further to have effect, so you have very fine grained control when turning the knob slowly.
The storage function is a little hard to use, and took some figuring out how actually store a setup. Loading a setup takes a bit of time, but given that I don't do that all that often, that's not much of an issue.
Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this 'scope to someone. For the 100MHz bandwidth it provides, I think it provides what most people will need. I would definitely suggest this over the 2-channel version. I routinely use 3 or 4 channels when debugging digital hardware.
