My review is for the Rigol DP832 programmable lab power supply; specifically, the open box model. First, I'll start with the open box portion as it's the shortest. The unit arrived in impeccable condition with what appears to be all original packaging, manual, accessories, software, etc. If you told me this was a new unit I would believe you. As for the power supply itself... I'm very pleased with the unit. Overall, this is and excellent power supply for the price. It should be understood that this is a linear supply, not switching, so it is by no means small or lightweight. This is not a problem for me, as I expect this from a low noise supply capable of reasonably high current for everyday lab use. The user interface is intuitive, yet powerful - especially when considering the trigger and analysis options. The OVP and OCP allows for powering critical electronics without worry of damaging them. Along with this, the supply does not overshoot on start-up under any scenario I've tested; providing further safety for your circuits. The rotary encoder works well without any skipped pulses. I especially like the ability to set mA/A and mV/V directly from the keypad; this is very convenient for when you're changing set points often. I've found the output voltage to be accurate enough that I can trust the output to be within a few millivolts of its setting. I no longer have to use a multimeter to be sure I'm getting what I expect. If i had to provide any criticism, I'd say that although the supply provides tracking between channels for /- rails for an op amp, for instance; it doesn't automatically place the two channels in series to share a common. In other words, you must place a lead between the of one channel and the - of the other to develop a common. Other supplies I've had would do this automatically when in tracking mode. This is especially important in this supply because it utilizes low side current sensing, so failure to properly connect the test leads could have a profound impact in your read-back current. This unit is also "upgradeable" from the same Rigol key gen site as the DS1054Z. I'm not endorsing this, only providing the information. This may invalidate your warranty, so you've been fairly warned. Overall this is an excellent power supply and I highly recommend it. The open box version was significantly cheaper, and I can vouch for the first class job TEquipment did at ensuring what I received was inclusive of what should be expected from a new unit and of high quality.

Came with only minor dents to the outside cardboard. The packaging is good and the foam holding the power supply is so large there wasn't much risk of anything actually getting through the cardboard and affecting the power supply. This power supply is very useful and has great features.
