Reichert's VET 360 refractometer quickly and accurately determines urine specific gravity and protein concentration in plasma, serum and peritoneal fluid. The Rhino-rugged handheld refractometer is water resistant, dust proof and shock resistant. The Reichert VET 360 uses Automatic Temperature Compensation to provide accurate readings regardless of ambient temperature.

The unit automatically corrects all readings back to the Standard Reference Temperature of 68'°F/(20'°C). This provides much greater accuracy than urinometers or reagent strips can offer.

won't stay calibrated

Purchased this in 7/2018. Would not stay calibrated between each use. I contacted the manuf. who was initially helpful and did an exchange. The exchange won't stay calibrated either. Recalibrated two weeks ago, today had to recalibrate. Not sure what this means when I have to recalibrate prior to each use….leads me to believe it's not accurate or just poorly built. Re contacted Reichert who is no longer helpful. Bought a $20 refractometer from Amazon. Has never had to be calibrated. Very disappointed with this product and company.
