Glove CAFÉ Fixture

Glove and Finger Cot evaluation and qualification testing is conducted under controlled conditions in accordance with ESD Association Standard Practice ANSI/ESD SP15.1 Standard Practice for In-Use Resistance Testing of Gloves and Finger Cots. While Prostat’s PCF-825 CAFÉ Fixture Set is designed for evaluation and qualification testing in accordance with ANSI/ESD SP15.1, it can also be used for Audit measurements in plant, laundry or in various field configurations. All in-use testing should be per- formed at environmental conditions similar to those in which the gloves will be used.

This unique fixture was designed in accordance with ESD Association Standard Practice ANSI/ESD SP15.1-2005 page 5. This document provides test procedures for measuring intrinsic electrical resistance of gloves and finger cots, as well as their electrical resistance together with personnel as a system.

The Constant Area and Force Electrode (CAFÉ) is held by a person’s finger to reproducibly measure resistance from the finger to the electrode.
