Precision Brand® Laminated Brass Shim is made of cold rolled, half hard CDA 260 alloy. It is of Composition 2, Type 1, and Class 1. Fully Laminated Shim is made by using pressure and resin or adhesive to bond metal shim together, which creates a rigid one piece item that appears to function as a single solid metal sheet or plate. It can remove layers by peeling away with a pocket knife to the desired thickness. Sheets are uniform from edge to edge and can be cut, sawed, stamped, milled, or bored to almost any configuration. Bonding adhesive makes for just right peeling, no tearing or ripping of the layers.
