The QxL will capture up to 4GB of data, and the Qx will capture 1GB of data. The packet data gets stored on a USB drive connected to the Qx/QxL, which can then be FTP’d or browser file transferred off the unit to another tool (e.g. Wireshark) for analyze the PCAP data to try to locate the issue being investigated. One item that is unique to the QxL unit is its ability to capture all data across its 25G interface.
