The circumstances that led to my buying of this case were not so great. I had lost my whole case of tools due to my ignorance. I waited a few weeks to see if they would turn up with no luck. So I started shopping. This was the first purchase I made. I had a similar style case before. But I liked this one because it was smaller than my old one, and the waterproof feature would come in handy with my tool case frequently riding in the back of a pickup truck in rain and snow.

I did add some things to the case to make it more useful. Pelican makes a lid organizer that I purchased and stuck in the inside of the lid to store some more items. I also ordered some Kaizen foam for the bottom section of the case. The stuff is amazing. I have custom cutouts in the foam for a number of tools. Everything has its place and I never leave job sites without something because it is obvious if something is missing.

Bottom line is that Pelican makes the best cases for just about anything you can imagine. For a tool case, this is the one to beat. If I had the need and the coin, though, I would add Pelican 0450 to my collection. :)
