The PanaVise 310 surface plate base mount is an effective vise mounting solution that provides dependable portable stability for a variety of PanaVise work-holding products, as well as an extended level work area for items and additional tools.
The base mount is forged in a single piece of precision cast iron (Blanchard ground), measures 10-3/4" x 10-3/4" across its top surface, is 1-1/4" tall, and weighs 10 lb. Three pre-drilled holes are aligned in a triangle pattern in one of its corners. This hole pattern makes the PanaVise 310 compatible with the PanaVise 201 PV Jr. vise, the PanaVise 300 Standard Base and 305 Low-Profile Base, and associated vise combination products.
The combination of the corner orientation of this mounting position, along with the 10 lb. weight of the base provides the dependable, non-tipping stability sufficient for most small-medium sized vise applications. The slightly raised position onto four legs provides convenient gripping points for manuveuring the base, and allows flipping to add or remove compatible work-holding tools. Four non-marring, anti-skid pads are included for the bottom of the legs to prevent scratching of work surfaces.
