Automatically project a 360-degree continuous red line beam. Clear, bright 200-ft red laser line. The PLS 360 continuous red line laser kit includes an SLD laser detector with clamp, 16 foot rod, L-bracket and tripod. To Check Level: Choose two walls approximately 25' - 50' apart (illustration below). You can use 2x4s for targets. Turn on the PLS 360. With the PLS 360 six inches away from and facing target #1, carefully mark the center of the line. Label this mark A1. Mark the center of the line on target #2. Label this mark B1. Move the PLS 360 six inches away from target #2. Carefully mark the center of the line. Label this mark B2. Mark the center of the line on target #1. Label this mark A2. Now measure the distance between A1 and A2, B1 and B2. If the distances are the same, the laser is in calibration. If the difference between the two sets of marks is greater than 1/16" @ 25', or 1/8" @ 50', the laser is out of calibration. It is also necessary to check each of the five beams for level. Place the PLS 360 at least 25' away from a "target" wall. Position the laser so that the window facing the target wall is parallel with the target wall. Mark the center of the laser line. Rotate the laser so that each of the remaining four windows is parallel with the target wall. Each laser line should be within 1/32" of your initial mark at 25'.
