The Oakton 35608-50 is a conductivity/Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) electrode, with cell constant of K=1.0 for mid-range conductivity measurements. The electrode, also known as a probe, measures the conductivity and TDS of a solution, and is commonly used in testing water, such as pure and sea water, in field and laboratory applications. This probe features stainless steel sensors for specific application, Polyetherimide (PEI) ultem-body housing for chemical resistance, and an 8-pin DIN connection for stability. It comes with a removable, plastic probe guard to preserve the unit. Calibration:Calibrate according to meter instructions. Always use fresh calibration standards. Select a calibration standard value that is close to your sample value. Measurement:Avoid air bubble entrapment by gently tapping electrode to dislodge. Ensure sensors are completely immersed. Rinse with clean water after each use. Cleaning:If the electrode has been stored dry, soaking in alcohol or clean water for a few minutes can help performance.
