The Oakton PC 650 pH/conductivity meter is a multi-parameter, handheld, waterproof and dustproof meter kit. The meter is commonly used to measure pH, conductivity, temperature, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), and mV of a substance. The PC 650 features ATC, with pH calibration up to six points, and up to 15 auto-buffer options. It has recognition of USA, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) and PWB standards, for ease of use. It has a large, backlit LCD screen to provide ease of viewing, and to display indicators. The meter has an adjustable alarm to remind you when calibration is due. It stores up to 500 data sets, and has IrDA wireless technology for data communication. The meter has a built-in, real time clock with time and date stamping and set-point alarms, and a built-in stand. It comes with an electrode status indicator and password protection.
The meter has a pH range of -2.00 to 20.00, with a resolution of 0.01/0.01/0.001 and accuracy of + or - 0.002. It can be calibrated up to six points. Its temperature range is -10.0 to 110.0 degrees C (14.0 to 230.0 degrees F), selectable, and it has a resolution of 0.1 degree C (0.1 degree F), and an accuracy of + or - 0.5 degrees C (+ or - 0.9 degrees F). Conductivity range is 0 to 500 ppt, resolution of 0.05% full-scale, accuracy of 1% full-scale. Its mV range is + or - 2,000, with a resolution of 0.10 and accuracy of + or - 0.2. TDS range is 0 to 500 ppt. Its temperature compensation range is 0.0 to 100.0 degrees C. The meter is 7.25(l) x 3.25(w) x 2.25(h) inches, and weighs 1.0 lb (0.45 kg). It has the ability to store up to 500 data sets in meters memory, until data can be transferred. Time and date stamping meets Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards, and the meter is Ingress Protection (IP) 67-rated, for protection against solid objects or liquids. The meter works with four 1.5V AA batteries (not included), or optional AC adapter. It has up to 200 hours of continuous use, with batteries. It requires an Oakton Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) probe (sold separately) to take mV readings.
pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists in aquaculture, agricultural, hydroponic, wine-making, and water-testing and for scientific applications. Conductivity is the ability of a solution or material to conduct an electrical current.
