The Motic BA210 Elite is a high quality microscope, designed for use in many levels of education. Based upon its successful predecessor, the BA210, this model introduces many improvements as suggested by users, in both optical and mechanical aspects. The BA210 Elite is designed to be a cost effective, high quality microscope, providing many years of use.
The BA210E features interchangeable illumination sources, allowing users to switch between halogen and LED lamps. While many manufacturers would require the purchase of a new microscope, Motic has designed the BA210E to extremely versatile. Halogen lamps are 6v/30w, while the 3w LED is available in two different color temperatures – 4500k and 6000k.
This BA210E includes Motic’s new EC Plan Achromat objectives, with multi layer coated lenses for superior color resolution. The EC objectives offer larger working distances, which helps reduce sample contamination when changing from oil to dry lenses. The EC series also possess excellent spherical aberration correction, to significantly improve field flatness and resolution.
Phase contrast and darkfield modes of operation are also possible with the BA210E through optional optics and hardware. Phase contrast magnification ranges from ranges from 10x to 100x with EC-H Plan Phase lenses and sliders. Dark field can be performed with a DF slider up to an objective NA of 0.65.
Digital microscopy is easily performed with the BA210E series. Motic offers their own line of C-mount cameras, the Moticam, which provide excellent live images and also with own software. The Moticam is available in resolutions from 1.3MP to 10MP, along with a line of research grade cameras. For even more versatility, traditional SLR cameras can also be used with trinocular BA210E’s, through the combination of mechanical adapters, photo eyepieces, and bayonet mount adapter.
