Metcal MX-500

The Metcal MX-500 is a two channel soldering and rework system featuring an output power of 40 watts.  The MX-500 is offered in six different packages, with a combination of either one or two handpieces, including a tweezer, desoldering iron, and two styles of soldering iron.  There are also several hundred tip models to choose from.  Each product page has detailed information on tip selection in three spots – in the features section at the top of the page (to the right of the picture), the Q&A section toward the middle, or the Documents section for a full listings of part numbers, diagrams and dimensional information.
