The EDUWIFI/2MP is one of Meiji Techno's new digital camera classroom packages. The package consists of 11 WF2MP/EDU student cameras, 1 WF2MP/EDU/TEACHER camera with an antenna, 4 Vimatrix Mini Wifi Pucks and 1 main Micro Wi-Fi Edu Vimatrix router. This package also includes a Micro Wi-Fi Edu software used with a PC and a Micro Wi-Fi Edu app downloadable in iOS and Android for free. PC is not supplied.
The EDUWIFI/2MP consists of cameras (the WF2MP/EDU/TEACHER and WF2MP/EDU) that have a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 px, a sensor size of 1/2.8" and a pixel size of 2.9μm x 2.9μm. The WF2MP/EDU/TEACHER camera must be paired with a microscope, the Vimatrix control system and the Micro Wi-Fi Edu App in order to use the lecturing mode of the system. The lecturing mode allows teachers to real-time stream such as microscopic images and computer documents to students' smart devices. It allows teachers to capture all live images of students confirming that all cameras are connected successfully. This also means teachers can annotate and edit selected images a documents of students work in real time. The student camera, WF2MP/EDU, must be paired with a microscope, the Vimatrix mini puck and the Micro Wi-Fi Edu app in order to access their microscope features in real time. Students can also control exposure adjustments such as the white balance, gain and brightness with their cameras. They can annotate, measure, record and take photos of their specimens and generate research reports that can be easily sent to the teacher's email. In addition, teachers and students can do one-to-one voice communication in which teachers are provided a high quality microphone by designated agents and students can use their own headphones to listen. This makes student and teacher learning and collaborating easier and more fun with using 21st century technology.
