Large Circular Bollard Grip, 2 kN, QC-20 Fitting
The Large Circular Bollard Grips is made from steel and is designed for tensile testing up to 2 KN of flexible wire-type materials with a maximum specimen thickness width of 2 mm.
The specimen is wrapped around the bollard and the free end is clamped tightly in place between 2 flat-faced jaws. The bollard is machined with 2 mm wide spirally-wound grooves and has a diameter of 49 mm around which the specimen is wound. This minimizes the chance of slippage within the grip or of premature failure of the sample occurring due to stress concentrating at one point.
Fitted with a QC-20mm female hole for connection to the base of a test stand or loadcell.
