FINAT 1 Peel Jig for 180-degree testing, QC-20 Fitting
FINAT 1 Peel Jig - 180°
A polished steel plate is used for affixing pressure-sensitive adhesive tape in accordance with FINAT 1 test method and other international standards.
Fitted with an adaptor having QC-20mm female hole for connection to the base of a motorized test stand.
Used in conjunction with an upper grip (order separately). MEC227 with rubber-faced jaws is popularly chosen as the upper grip.
- Remove backing material from 25 mm wide strip
- Affix to test plate (PDV13016-C) and roll twice using a standard roller (PSV14155)
- Fit test plate (PDV13016-C) to the base of the tensile tester
- Fit strip into the upper grip (Mec227-BG50) of the tensile tester so that the test angle is 180 degrees
- Separate the adhesive strip from the test plate at a rate of 300 mm/min
- Record data from the central section of the adhesive strip as it is peeled
- Calculate the average of the peel force and express the value as Newton/25 mm width
- Describe the type of failure (cohesive failure, adhesive transfer, etc.)
