Mazur Instruments designs, develops and manufactures precision instruments which detect, measure, and monitor nuclear radiation. The company is a division of Intelligent Marketing, another Colorado-based corporation which was established in 1995. Several different detectors are available with varying capabilites, but all electronics are made in the USA and all components, sub-assemblies and various machined parts are manufactured from locally sourced parts. All Mazur radiation detectors feature unique capabilities and decades of useful life.
Mazur developed its primary radiation detector, the PRM-8000 Geiger Counter and Radiation Monitor, in 2008. This device became Mazur Instrument's flagship product. Shortly after the release of the PRM-8000, Mazur released the PRM-9000. This radiation detector is Mazur's most advanced to date. The PRM-9000 is designed to continuously collect measurements and statistics enabling complete environment assessment. No similar products are available at a similar price point. In addition, the PRM-9000 not only records the maximum radiation measured, but also displays the time and date at which the maximum reading occurred. The PRM-9000 also features more than 4.5 years of battery life and over 100K bytes of internal data logging memory included.
