The System 373 from LX Microscopes by UNITRON is a trinocular stereo microscope. Specially designed for static sensitive environments, both the microscope and stand are coated with metal-laced, static dissipative paint, measuring 10
5 ohms/sq. The 373 is a versatile instrument and can be modified by the user with a variety of stands, illumination sources and digital cameras.
The System 373 features a zoom magnification of 0.7x to 4.5x, with a 1x objective, and 10x eyepieces, standard for all models. This creates a magnification of 7x to 45x which can be greatly expanded through optional objectives and eyepieces. Total possible magnification ranges from 3.5x to 135x, with working distances from 35mm to 195mm. Working distance refers to the space between the microscope and the object being examined, and is an extremely important feature for any stereo microscope. The greater this number, the more room workers have to operate. Please see the chart below for complete details on optical performance.
This unit contains a trinocular port used for photography. Documentation is made simple with a standard or high resolution camera, installed directly on to the microscope’s third output. Luxo also manufactures several cameras which include software necessary for image processing, making research documentation as easy as possible. Packages are available containing a video monitor as well, so that results can be seen simultaneously through the eyepieces and on screen.
