Leader PHSXO-S Command Scripts with Print Report

The COMMAND SCRIPTS WITH PRINT REPORT option allows a series of predefined actions such as controlling the generator, analyzer, and logging functions within the Phabrix® instrument using a script stored in internal memory. A print report feature allows an internal HTML form to be auto-filled with parameters set and subsequently downloaded and printed.

Applications include repeated test sequences as required by manufacturer Test Departments, R&D Departments, Systems Integrators and Commissioning/Support Engineers and those requiring support documentation using the report feature.

Leader PHSXO-SD SDI Analysis

The SDI analysis option provides the engineer with a detailed view of the data words contained within the SDI stream. This allows the analysis of complex faults and is particularly useful when determining compatibility issues between equipment and when debugging new product developments within an R&D environment. Detail within the active SDI stream can be viewed with continuous update. Analysis can be obtained from the generated or received SDI stream allowing quick comparison checks.

Leader PHSXO-R Enhanced Remote Control

This option gives users full remote control of the unit via TCP/IP Sockets to allow any aspect of the unit to be modified or queried.

This allows quite complex applications to be created to perform test and measurement functions such as automated testing of routers or other broadcast equipment

PHABRIX® products act as a server and listen on a port waiting for incoming requests from clients such as a PC. Using this method of communication the Sx range can provide a variety of information to the control device it is connected to and be controlled in specified areas of the product using the command details included.

Leader PHSXO-Z Programmable Moving Zone Plate

This option adds a range of pre-programmed zone plate patterns along with user defined controls over several parameters which can be saved to custom buffers.

Moving zone plates provide a very useful ‘dynamic’ pattern for testing a range of video processing equipment. Spacial and temporal controls are particularly useful for testing up/down converters, image scalers and applications which compress signals. Frequency sweep testing using the zone plate is particularly useful in determining the usable bandwidth of the system. All formats are supported using this option including 16:9 and 4:3 aspects, each pattern automatically scales for the chosen format.

Leader PHSXO-F Advanced Format

The advanced formats option available for the SxTAG, SxA and SxE adds a variety of new formats to the standard set of 76 currently available. These include 4:2:2 YUV, 4:4:4 RGB, and 4:4:4 YUV at 10/12 bit and 3G level A and B.

Once the option code has been entered, the new formats will be shown in the generator selection window as exemplified in the diagram right.

Leader PHSXO-VNC Ancillary Data Status

The Ancillary status option from PHABRIX® provides broadcasters, studios, OB and broadcast manufacturers with a detailed analysis of the ancillary data present in a SDI signal.

A simple grid layout provides a quick check for an engineer of the available ancillary data present on the signal. The packet type is then displayed as present, absent or red if in fault. Simple icons next to the packet indicate the fault. The legend of each icon is defined across the bottom of the viewing window

Leader PHSXO-DAG Dolby Analysis and Dolby Generation Options

This option is the combination of two options: PHSXO-DA and PHSXO-DG. Therefore, it allows the display of Dolby D/D+/E meta data present in a selected audio stream and it can also generate Dolby D/D+/E streams from a wide seection allowing engineers to enter and adjust parameters to check broadcast infrastructure.

Just like the Dolby D/D+/E Analysis option, this combined option can determine if the Dolby packet is timed correctly on the SDI video stream. Also, the Dolby D/D+/E may be monitored from any of the SDI input embedded audio channel pairs or the AES input.
