Electronic loads are instruments that simulate electronic device behavior for manufacturing and laboratory research purposes. For example, the characterizing of DC Power supplies, DC-DC Converters, batteries, fuel cells and solar cells. Many allow high speed response and load characteristic and sequencing simulation needed for modern electronics.

Power Supplies deliver electric power to a device or circuit (Electrical Load), usually by stepping down a higher voltage.
