The Keysight 1146B AC/DC current probe provides accurate display and measurement of currents from 100 mA to 100 Arms, dc to 100 kHz, without breaking into the circuit. The probes use a hybrid technology that includes a Hall effect sensor that senses the dc current and a current transformer that senses the ac current, making it unnecessary to make an electrical connection to the circuit. A battery level indicator and overload indicator help ensure proper readings. It connects directly to the scope through a 2-m coaxial cable with an insulated BNC.

The Keysight 1146B is compatible with any scope or voltage measuring instruments with 1MΩ BNC input. The 1146B is ideal for capturing transient current signals such as those found in motor controllers, switching power supplies, inverters, and current amplifiers driving inductive loads.
