The JBC JTSE-1QA is a high powered hot air station for repairing all types of SMDs quickly and safely, including the biggest QFPs and PLCCs.
There are two work modes to choose from - manual and profile. In manual mode, the operator can set temperature values and air flow rate depending on the task. In profile model, the operator can set up and edit as many as 25 profiles for temperature and airflow.

In this mode the operator can set up or edit as many as 25 profiles of temperature and air flow.
Users can read the temperature at a specific point on the PCB with the control thermocouple. This helps protect components or a specific area on the PCB, and provides greater precision when regulating the temperature. There are two work modes available for use with the control thermocouple:
Regulation: the station regulates the air temperature automatically to maintain the External Thermocouple (TC) temperature.
Protection: the station cuts the air supply off when the External Thermocouple (TC) temperature is reached.
The auto-stop function is a safety measure which guarantees the heat is automatically cut off when the tool is in the stand. This also means you save power and extend the life of the tip. There is also an auto start feature. When selected, the tool automatically heats up when lifted from the stand.

Best standalone hot air station on the planet
5.0
Expensive - Worth every penny. Amazing how quickly this unit gets up to temp. 100C idle to 400C in roughly 5 seconds! Air output is plentiful, and not that loud at all. Even the air pump sounds like a true quality component. No doubt this is built to last. I've noticed that it pulls about 700 watts at full power. Air output and temperature are easily controlled without any menu interaction directly on the home screen (something Hakko and some others fail at miserably). Supports temperature profiling setup, temperature probe support, standby and timeout settings, heat/air on/off via a button on the wand (I've only accidentally triggered it off once while desoldering so far) and many more options, including foot pedal support. If you need (or just want) one of the top hot air stations out at the moment then this is it. I will say that JBC is "very proud" of their accessories and parts. A heating element replacement (which inevitably you will need in time, probably many years down the road) will set you back $210 USD. I wouldn't let this dissuade your decision to purchase - just something to keep in mind to be prepared for.
