The JBC DME-1A is a four channel soldering station with 3.5 inch touch screen. Compatible with a wide variety of tools, the DME-1A offers a peak power of 160 watts per device, and channels which can be used simultaneously.
This station is a JBC Excellence range product, offering benefits such as station customization, full control of soldering processes and remote work management. Everything can be accessed through the intuitive, 3.5 inch color touch screen.
The DME-1A utilizes the JBC exclusive heating system - tip temperature recovers extremely fast, which increases efficiency while lowering temperatures.
JBC system can reach 350ºC (662ºF) in only 2 seconds, while others need between 10 and 90 seconds.
This innovative technology allows a reduction of the temperature by at least 50ºC. Lowering the temperature reduces the risk of damaging components and improves the quality of soldering and desoldering.
JBC stations only drop 35ºC (95ºF) where others drop as much as 70ºC (158ºF)
The DME-1A also features an intelligent sleep and hibernation mode. The station recognizes when tools have been placed in or removed from the stand, and raises or lowers temperature accordingly. This not only saves power, but also extends tip life.
The Sleep function automatically reduces tip temperature to 180ºC when the iron is in the stand. The station automatically goes into Hibernation when the set time in Sleep mode is finished. The power supply is cut off and tip remains at room temperature. The tool must be in the stand for the Sleep & Hibernation functions to work.
Tip life increases exponentially by using a lower temperature for a shorter time, as shown in the graph. JBC tips last 5 times longer than other brands thanks to the Exclusive Heating System and the Intelligent Heat Management: Sleep & Hibernation functions.
The DME-1A is very versatile, and can be used with a wide variety of tools. Please note, certain instruments, such as desoldering irons and solder feeders, will require additional modules to operate.

Excellent station but the interface was very slow and laggy. Maybe i recieved a defective station because i find it hard to believe that it was supposed to be that bad. Everything else worked great and owning jbc in the past has been nothing but satisfaction.TEquipment Response: Thank you for your feedback! Please give us a call for assistance with this!

Could be great... but falls short

I was really hoping this was going to be my all in one solution. To be clear I am keeping it but I am very disappointed in this tool. To have the JBC name is insulting to the high priced name. The touch screen is one of the worst I've ever touched. Ever... talking late 90's quality. Super slow, laggy, unresponsive to touch. I've calibrated the screen twice, and the cal is responsive, just not the main software. I've tried to update but even that is convoluted and it fails. The second part of this is the operation... Turning on the switch requires you to wait for what feels like 1-2 minutes (10-20 seconds probably) for power on. tool switching is slow. This tool feels like a beta tool, My stand alone JBC systems are much much faster and responsive. My Nano station is also faster and it also has multiple tools. This system needs to go back into the oven and finish cooking.
