Tool is OK, not a no nick stripper by any means
3.0
The tool is OK , but not great. You must take extreme care to make sure the wire is very straight and goes into the tool straight. If the wire has a slight bend, the tool will gouge the wire, and may cut the conductors. This tool is best used on a bench, where you can prepare the wire without interference, e.g. I would not recommend restripping a wire that is already hooked up on one end and not a lot of clearance. For the price, its OK. The reason for purchasing this stripper, is that I purchased a true no nick stripper that tears the insulation. That stripper works extremely well on all wire except the tough mil-spec teflon insulated wire. If you must have a no nick wire stripper, and need to work on mil spec teflon coated wire, then try a thermal stripper.
