Q. Why doesn't TEquipment pay to ship the equipment back and forth without this extra fee? It's not my fault the unit failed.
A. Very true, it is not your fault that the unit failed, but as a distributor, TEquipment is bound by manufacturer regulations, and most manufacturers are not willing to pay for International shipping in and out of the country. We do NOT factor international returns into our sale price, and we pass the savings on to you. Since it is rare that something does go wrong, our customers prefer that we pass on the savings.
Q. Who buys this insurance?
A. Generally customers that do not want to carry the risk of returning the package and having that surprise cost.
Q. I dropped my unit and it now needs to be repaired. Is that covered?
A. No, we cover DOA (dead on arrival) or warranty repair within the first 5 years or life of the warranty, whichever comes first
Q. How is this different than an extended warranty?
A. This has nothing to do with the warranty, as it is only covering shipping cost back and forth between the two countries.
Q. Is this cost transferrable?
A. No.
Q. If I buy this, will my shipping be free on my order?
A. No, shipping charges are still applicable. International orders are also subject to additional handling charges and applicable customs, duties, and taxes, all of which are the responsibility of the customer. This only goes into effect after you receive the product.
Q. Does this mean that, for the life of the warranty, we can send it back to you?
A. This will cover one-time shipping - either if the equipment is DOA, or requires warranty work within the first 5 years or life of the warranty, whichever comes first.
Q. How long does it take to get my equipment fixed and sent back to me?
A. This will vary depending on your location and the issue at hand with the equipment. This also depends on the manufacturer’s warranty policy.
