The DE-6000 is a high-performance handheld LCR meter that is full-featured yet cost effective. The 0.2% basic accuracy and optional USB interface for data transfer separates the DE-6000 from other handheld LCR meters. IET offers optional accredited calibration data on the DE-6000.
The DE-6000 measures:
- Ls/Lp -- Series and parallel inductance
- Cs/Cp -- Series and parallel capacitance
- Rs/Rp -- Series and parallel resistance (ac)
- Rdc/Rp -- Series and parallel resistance (dc)
- ESR/Rp -- Series and parallel equivalent resistance
- D -- Dissipation factor
- Q -- Quality factor
- Θ -- Phase angle
This handheld LCR meter can transfer data to a PC via a optional, fully isolated, optical IR-USB interface. It also features a Sorting mode, allowing users to quickly sort components.
The DE-6000 handheld LCR Meter has automatic impedance selection. This allows the user to measure the L/C/R components in Auto LCR mode without having to select the type of measurement.
To accommodate various test requirements, the DE-6000 handheld LCR Meter offers selectable test frequencies: 100 Hz / 120 Hz / 1 kHz / 10 kHz / 100 kHz.
The LCR Meter is powered by a standard 9V battery. For additional convenience, it may also use an optional ac adapter (DE-6000-AC).

To transfer data to a PC, the LCR Meter comes with a built-in IR interface. IET offers an optional Data Transfer Kit (DE-6000-DTK). This kit includes: IR-USB interface adapter, a USB cable, and a CD with software for the PC.
The USB interface on the DE-6000 uses an FTDI chip set. Normally when the DE-6000 is connected to a computer using the USB port, Windows 7 and higher will search for the correct driver and as long as the computer is connected to the internet the driver should automatically be installed. If the driver is not automatically installed the drivers can be installed from FTDI Virtual COM Port Drivers website
NEW LabVIEW Driver for DE-6000 is available for collecting data from the DE-6000. The driver is written in LabVIEW 2013 and requires the optional DE-6000-DTK IR-USB interface adapter.
