What's New?

The Neo3 was the first camera in HoverCam’s line up to offer direct to display connectivity. This eliminates the need to travel with your computer in order to use your document camera. HoverCam also renovated their camera’s neck flexibility with the Neo3. Instead of the single flex point as found in the t3 or t5, the Neo3 features two flexibility points one in the camera base and another directly at the camera’s head. This allows users to more easily view detailed aspects of a document or object.

Resolution & Zoom

HoverCam has equipped the Neo3 with a standard 3X zoom from any position. This is further amplified to a 13X digital zoom when connected to a computer. Users are also able to manually zoom the Neo3 when a situation calls for it. The camera at the heart of the Neo3 is capable of capturing full 720p HD images and videos at 30 fps. Did we mention that the Neo3 has a second camera built directly into the camera’s arm? The location of this camera allows it to be used as webcam even when the camera is folded. This makes it ideal for use as both a standard document camera and a recording tool for live presentations.

HoverCam has pioneered the "affordable" document camera on the market and people have noticed. HoverCam's competitors have come out with similar cameras that have not reached the benchmark in way of performance, capabilities, or ease of use. The Neo3 is the answer to users who enjoy the ease of use of HoverCam's previous models but with the option to connect directly to the projector.

What makes the Neo3 different from the T3?

DB-15 connector (commonly called a VGA connector) for output directly to a projector or large screen display.
Flip up camera head.
Faster refresh rate, less latency. Neo 3 outputs full motion, 30 frames per second video at resolutions of 720p and XGA. The refresh rate at UXGA (1600 X 1200) resolution and 1080p is approximately 20 frames per second (which is noticeably faster than the T3).
Increased mechanical zoom. Lower the camera head and clearly see names of the states on a $5 bill and other small objects you couldn’t see with the T3.
2nd camera, for picture-in-picture display and recording.
Power adapter. The Neo 3 includes a small AC/DC power adapter.
Lighter. The Neo 3 weighs just over 1 lb. (T3 is 2 lbs.)
Controls on the unit. Digital zoom, resolution, rotate image 180 degrees and freeze frame functions can be controlled with buttons directly on the Neo 3.
