Great DMM, fast, the dual display is a plus

I will not go into details about the DMM, the details are all over. Just let me say that the DMM is very fast, I love the dual display, the V-A Peak, the nS is right on the spot, way much better in some areas than my Fluke 28II.
But the DMM has problems, and I would like Tequipment to verify this for me, if possible, since I got from you guys through Amazon. Here is the issue. The manual says press any key to wake the DMMt up after it goes into sleep mode. That part is not working for me. Here is the biggy. Let's say the DMM is being used as a "current meter," in that case, the test lead MUST be pulled out, turn the DMM OFF and ON again, then re-insert the test lead. What a pain! I contacted HIOKI here in the USA, they say return the DMM, it has problems. The following is not a problem, but lack of implementation. It does not have "duty cycle" capability. For example, when analyzing power supplies, the duty cycle is needed to confirm a "healthy" power source, etc. All of these, I am sure can be addressed with a firmware update(my DMM came with 1.11), but HIOKI says, there is no firmware update available, it sound to me like an abandon project.

Wow, I finally have a HF handheld DMM. One call to FLUKE service was all it took to come out of the 87 V ether and start to look at what else was out there! So glad our friends in Long Branch carry the Hioki line! The DT 4282 is a dream instrument at a great price! Thanks
