Hakko A1234 Replacement Heating Element

This new heating element replaced the old one in my Hakko 808 desoldering tool. The heating element degrades with usage and thermal cycling and you should expect to replace it every now an then. One of the electrical leads in the old element had separated from the housing. Since the lead is essentially welded to the housing, I could not repair it. The new element arrived quickly from T-Equipment.net and included clear instructions for its installation in the desoldering tool. I completed the installation, tested the connections, re-installed the handle cover and then tested the desoldering tool. It worked perfectly! The new element is a genuine Hakko replacement part and I would buy it again, if and when needed.
