works with Hakko FA400-04, but the filter itself has no pre-built notch/slot to clip into the FA400. If I just force the filer in, the 4 notices will damage the filter (and the frame of the filter is built with paper). Had to cut 2 slots into the filter so they clip onto the FA400 2 bottom clips. Then just force the filter in and the top 2 clips will press with the filter. Feels like a DIY solution..

These things do a great job at what they are supposed to do. They do seem to make the fan a little less powerful, but it's not a huge difference.
