Some users have experienced short sensor (191-211) life when using high tin content nolead solders. The high percentage of tin may attack the sensor wire causing failure after only a few measurements. The 191-212 sensor wire is specially coated near the weld junction to improve sensor life when using no-lead solders. Depending on the solder composition the standard sensor (191-211) may be acceptable.
10 pieces of sensor wire for use with 191 and 192 thermometer. Sensors are specially coated to better withstand no-lead solders.

Hakko Theramal Couple
We have been using the Hakko FG-101 soldering iron testers for a couple of years now, and the 191-212 thermal couples have held up well. we test 2 irons per tester per day, and the thermal couples last an average of 2 to 3 weeks. Thats 20 to 30 tests per thermal couple which is 50% to 100% more tests than advertised by Hakko. We are very happy with the durrability of the thermal couples and the accuracy of the testing station.
