The IV curve tracer HT IV 400 is the ideal solution for the ordinary and scheduled maintenance of photovoltaic systems. With The IV curve tracer HT IV 400, searching for possible failures and problems in systems is extremely rapid, efficient and intuitive. The IV curve tracer HT IV 400 carries out the field measurement of the IV characteristic and of the main characteristic parameters both of a single module and of module strings. The instrument measures, together with the IV characteristic of the device being tested, also the values of its temperature and incident irradiation. The acquired data are then processed to extrapolate the IV characteristic at standard test conditions (STC) in order to proceed with the comparison with the nominal data declared by the modules’ manufacturer, thus immediately determining whether or not the string or the module being tested respects the characteristics declared by the manufacturer. Output current or voltage from the module or string is measured with the 4-terminal method, which allows extending the measurement cables without requiring any compensation for their resistance, thus always providing accurate and precise measures. In its internal memory, IV 400 manages a database of photovoltaic modules, which can be updated at any time both via the management software and directly on the instrument. Together with the measurement of the IV characteristic and the extrapolation of the characteristic at standard test conditions, IV 400 compares the obtained values with the values declared by the manufacturer, immediately providing the OK / NO result of the test. The operator must not do any calculation, nor any difficult operation. The instrument carries out the comparison rapidly and automatically.
I-V curve tracer The IV curve tracer HT IV 400 allows the detection field of the IV characteristic both of a single module for both strings of modules for PV installations up to 1000V and 10A. The acquired data are then processed and translated at reference conditions (STC) so that it can be compared with the nominal data declared by the manufacturer of the modules. The comparison between the measured and nominal data can help you determine immediately if the string or the module meets the design parameters declared by the manufacturer.
Reference Cell HT304N The IV curve tracer HT IV 400 has a reference cell that is located next to the photovoltaic module using the appropriate bracket, will measure the solar radiation. This is necessary to calculate the performance of the plant in operating conditions. There are two types of sensors:
Temperature probe PT300N The optional temperature probe will be positioned on the back of the photovoltaic module in order to compensate for the drop in performance of the module as a function of temperature.
Excessive distances? No problem. The optional accessory Solar02 will be synchronized with HT IV 400 so you can measure temperature and radiation away from the the instrument. Complete the measure simply reconnect via wireless the Solar02 with HT IV 400 and automatically will exchange all data related to temperature and irradiance measured.

Great Value for IV curve Tracer

This is an easy to use IV curve tracer with the low price of ~ $3500. I found it easy to learn and use the the field without need of an external PC or complicated set ups. The software that comes with really helped me save, analyze and write reports. My clients really appreciate the professional look and feel of my reports that are easy to generate with the SW.
