Great Decade Resistance Box

Global Specialties makes a nice quality resistance decade box compared to the other lower cost alternatives out in the market. The switches are clean and easy to slide, and the terminals are versatile.

I checked all the values and they are well within spec. The case is solid and the rubber boot really makes it durable.

It might cost a bit more than some others, but I've no doubt it will last me a lifetime of use.

Fine Budget Decade Resistance Box

All advertised values are well within spec. Binding post are of decent quality. Inside is a single board with very well laid out SMD resistors, and two short, rigid, solid-core wires hand soldered to the binding posts (joints have good wetting & are mechanically secure). My only gripe is with the kickstand on the back. VERY flimsy, and essentially useless. I didn't take a star off for it, though. Shipping was fast & customer service was GREAT, as it always is with TEquipment.

Searched long and hard before buying this. There seems to be two extremes for this type of product. Some you can buy for less than $40, and others cost you upwards of $400. Going by the pictures this one seemed to be a good unit.

I have yet to use it, but going buy quality of construction and packaging, it appears to be well worth the price.
