Waterproof Recording Video Inspection Borescope with 5.5mm Articulating Camera Tipped Probe

The #DCS665-ART Waterproof Recording Video Inspection Camera/Borescope is ideal for plumbing, automotive, HVAC/R and general inspection applications. The viewing axis of the probe can be changed up to 135° in two directions. The monitor records VGA resolution video clips and still photos onto a MicroSD memory card. The recorded media can be played back on the monitor's LCD or uploaded to a PC via the card or the included USB cable.

Poor Image Quality

Beware. The image quality is only 320 x 240 pixels (QVGA).

Does what it is supposed to do, but...

The camera image is good, the general workmanship is good. The price is good. What is less than good is the quality of the articulation feature. The length of the tip from camera to bending point is very long, making it difficult or impossible to go around sharp bends. Furthermore, the bend in one direction is not in the same plane as the bend in the opposite direction. In short, the main problems with this device is the articulation which is far from being as good as the more expensive scopes costing 4 times as much or more.
